Mojak

Well all two of you that guessed the car name guessed right! Mojak it is, and he has been at the dent Dr. for about 5 days. I have only driven my car about 10 times and had it less than three weeks, but after a 2nd insurance adjustment it has roughly $6,000 worth of damage. The praise is that we may get a break on our deductable!! Praise God!

Mullet Kid

My 4th blog of the night. (Read the others they are better). I am trying to play catch up. Been on blog burn out latley, and still want to read all of your blogs that I have missed too.

This is the current Ben fro:
Still growing strong. Not too happy that I was taking the pic at bed time, and does not show the full magnitude of the curls.
This is a picture Ben took of mullet boy at potrait invoations. I couldn't believe Ben's audacity snapping pics of mullet kid, but I am sure glad he did. I know there is a better one somewhere, but I can't find it. The best part is that this is the hair do that Minature-Joe-Dirt had styled to get his easter pictures in!

I guess Ben's hair could be worse.

Madelyn Grace Lewis Dawg

Madelyn is such an amazing little girl. She is innocent, loving, funny, an awesome sister, sensitive, and has taught me a lot. I hope I don't mess her up along the the way. She is my learning curve for parenting, and I want to get it right. I have recently encountered some ugliness from other people unnecessarily doled out on her. It made me so sad, esp because no apology was given by either party. She is not throwing fits she is sensitive. There is a difference. Most of all I hate that I did not confront the situations for her, I am her mommy, I should have.
Madelyn's photo's are a little more conventional than Ellie's. Here are some shots of her:
My pretty girl!Driving the trolley at the kid museum.
Her star crown, she did a good job!
Cousins.
Playing with friends!
Shark!!!!

She has been writing her name for a few months now, here is a pic from when she first got it right!

Cute little ballerina.

Obligatory cheese.

The other day envious of E-dawg's nick name she asked if she could be E-dawg. I told her it was unfitting , what about Mad-dawg? She snarled and suggested Madelyn Grace Lewis Dawg... surprisingly hasn't had much staying power.

a glimpse into the life of my strong willed child

Ellie just wouldn't be Ellie without her very strong will and opinions. She is so much of how I picture Ben being like as a child. From day one she has let us know how it is gonna be. I am sure on lookers think we have no control over our child, and when I was a mom of just Madelyn (who has been more or less compliant from the start) I would have thought the same of us. Now I just smile and think wait until your next child :)

Though it does not make parenting easy, it makes me love her all the more.
Here are some glances at my feisty girl.
Ellie Button shopping at the kid grocery store at the San Antonio Kid Museum.
E likes to feed herself.
Ellie Bean likes to strip when she is outside. She also likes to pee behind the shed when I am not watching. I caught her back there the other day and she told me "Mommy go, I tee-tee"
E- Dawg in her "hat-hat". She wants to wear a winter hat all the time, even in 80 degree weather sometimes.
Ellie-mo wanted to dip her own cracker in the P.B. one day at lunch. Here is what I found in the P.B. the next time I got P.B.

Just like this one! She is so much fun, my sweet Ellie-M-N-O-P!

Ellie Belli waiting to get stitches. She sang the "I'm so happy" verse out of I've got the Joy all the way to the E.R.Post stitches. She was so tough! When we took out the stitches there were only 3, she must have "helped" us remove one. This is a typical Ellie get up. She loves to wear shoes around the house, but always gets in trouble for taking her shoes off at school. The other day she was using her most expensive pair shoes as a shovel on the playground at school. (I know you are all asking why I send her to PDO in her nice shoes. I thought they would stay on better than the sandals. ) Lately she will sneak into the shoes and change into ones she likes better before we go anywhere. We wound up with her wearing some of Madelyn's shoes in public the other day. Only 3 sizes too big.
These days she insists on picking out her own shoes. Today a couple swats, a few hurled across the room shoes, a time out, and a threat to leave her at home if she she did not put the shoes I picked out, I won the shoe battle!
She insisted on sleeping with her balloon one night. I really have to pick my battles with her so I let her sleep with it until I was ready for bed. I had to pry it out of her hand, but she stayed asleep!

Just For You Know Whats and Giggles

About a week and a half ago Ben comes in saying :"Just for S***S and giggles I put your car up for sale"

Me: "OK" (secretly thinking whatever he is asking too much)
Well 3 days later my Blackberry Sherri and I parted ways. He got full asking price. This left a slight we need a car issue. About two days later we brought home this Mazda CX7. (I wanted the third row seating of the CX9, but payments said otherwise). My first brand-new car ever!!!

The next day we took him to San Antonio. After the trip I still had not bonded with my car, it seemed he lacked a certain element of personality. (yes my car is male... thus the he) Maybe it is the newness. Working in the baby room I have realized that I feel the same way about the little 6 weekers that roll in. While they are sweet and have many perks of being brand new they have not yet developed their little zest/personality yet. Also like new babies they(new cars) seem so fragile. Like the babies I am beginning warm up to my car. We had a grand test of how fragile he is yesterday. My new baby acquired 50 or more hail dents, and just like my own kids, he is getting to take an expensive visit to the car doctor very soon. I have already named him but for fun here is a poll to see what name you like best. These are the names I considered along with his new name.

A. Henry

B. The Grey Goose

C. Mojak (said mo-jack)

D. Stella (before I knew he was a boy)

Here is a list of my past cars: Sophie, Kiki, Reba Red, and Blackberry Sherri

Ben's cars have been: Mellow Yellow (aka Ghetto Ride), Scout, Syd, Lucifer (long story), and currently Gretchen Wilson

For the record I do like the new borns, just takes a little bit to bond with them:)
