a glimpse into the life of my strong willed child

Ellie just wouldn't be Ellie without her very strong will and opinions. She is so much of how I picture Ben being like as a child. From day one she has let us know how it is gonna be. I am sure on lookers think we have no control over our child, and when I was a mom of just Madelyn (who has been more or less compliant from the start) I would have thought the same of us. Now I just smile and think wait until your next child :)

Though it does not make parenting easy, it makes me love her all the more.
Here are some glances at my feisty girl.
Ellie Button shopping at the kid grocery store at the San Antonio Kid Museum.
E likes to feed herself.
Ellie Bean likes to strip when she is outside. She also likes to pee behind the shed when I am not watching. I caught her back there the other day and she told me "Mommy go, I tee-tee"
E- Dawg in her "hat-hat". She wants to wear a winter hat all the time, even in 80 degree weather sometimes.
Ellie-mo wanted to dip her own cracker in the P.B. one day at lunch. Here is what I found in the P.B. the next time I got P.B.

Just like this one! She is so much fun, my sweet Ellie-M-N-O-P!

Ellie Belli waiting to get stitches. She sang the "I'm so happy" verse out of I've got the Joy all the way to the E.R.Post stitches. She was so tough! When we took out the stitches there were only 3, she must have "helped" us remove one. This is a typical Ellie get up. She loves to wear shoes around the house, but always gets in trouble for taking her shoes off at school. The other day she was using her most expensive pair shoes as a shovel on the playground at school. (I know you are all asking why I send her to PDO in her nice shoes. I thought they would stay on better than the sandals. ) Lately she will sneak into the shoes and change into ones she likes better before we go anywhere. We wound up with her wearing some of Madelyn's shoes in public the other day. Only 3 sizes too big.
These days she insists on picking out her own shoes. Today a couple swats, a few hurled across the room shoes, a time out, and a threat to leave her at home if she she did not put the shoes I picked out, I won the shoe battle!
She insisted on sleeping with her balloon one night. I really have to pick my battles with her so I let her sleep with it until I was ready for bed. I had to pry it out of her hand, but she stayed asleep!
